Calcium zinc stabilizer is usually divided into: solid calcium zinc stabilizer and liquid calcium zinc stabilizer.

Solid calcium zinc stabilizer:

The appearance of calcium zinc stabilizer can divide into three forms: white powder, flake, and paste. Powdery calcium zinc stabilizer is used as the most widely used non-toxic PVC  stabilizer, commonly used in food packaging, medical equipment, wire and  cable materials, flooring, pipes&fittings foamed board, profiles, artifical leathers, and etc.

The  thermal stability of powdery calcium zinc stabilizer is not as good as  that of lead salt, so it has certain lubricity, poor transparency and easy blooming. In order to improve its stability and transparency, normally some other meterials will be added to improve its perfermance such as: hindered phenols, polyols, phosphites and β-diketone, and other antioxidants.

Liquid Calcium Zinc Stabilizer:

The appearance of Liquid calcium zinc stabilizer expresses like pale yellow oily liquid. Generally, liquid calcium zinc stabilizer is lacking of thermal stability than powdery stabilizer but the transparency ability is better. However, liquid stabilizer is hard to get precipitation, so it needs to choose a suitable solvent to solve this issue. Liquid stabilizers are commonly used in PVC products where the total amount of plasticizer is greater than 10 to 20 phr.
